He had an active citizenship. In 1958, he was included in the Belarusian delegation to the UN General Assembly. Signed an open letter to M. Signed an open letter to Gorbachev about the protection of the Belarusian language. But most of all Pimen Panchenko was proud of the medal &#8220;For Combat Merit&#8221;. Graduated from Minsk teacher training courses. He worked as a teacher in schools of Bobruisk and Kirov districts. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1938. From September 1939 to January 1946, he served as a special correspondent for Army newspapers. With a notebook and an automatic rifle he traveled the roads of the Bryansk and Kalinin fronts. And everything significant I saw on those roads I tried to document. Pimen Panchenko understood how important it is to inform the descendants about those who forever remained lying under crosses, under small hills.
