On the road from Minsk to Novinki, there is a burial ground on the left side of the Dolginovsky road. This site was the site of one of the first concentration camps from late June through August 1941. It held more than 140,000 Soviet prisoners of war and civilians in inhumane conditions. By its purpose, the camp was a filtration camp. Georgy Atamanov, colonel, chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Central District of Minsk, tells about the conditions of detention, about the abuse, about the principles of sorting prisoners of war into other camps. <\/p>\n\n
